Summary
With Goku out of commission, Frieza has appeared over again to challenge Jiren, bringing Android 17 with him. Jiren thinks this is a futile brandish of trust, only Frieza assures him that his only goal is to obtain the Super Dragon Balls. After the three of them battle for a time Frieza reaffirms that Jiren has indeed grown physically and mentally weaker, terrified at the possibility of returning to the weakling he once was. This provokes the Pride Trooper to retaliate, but 17 interferes and blasts him . Jiren falls to his knees, flabbergasting Universe 11. 17 and so leaves Frieza to terminate it. "Honored" by his trust, Frieza steps forward to finish Jiren off. He then prepares a Gilded Death Axle to practice his opponent in. Jiren is unmoved, likewise immoralized to even look as Frieza expresses disappointment of existence unable to expect at him. From the bleachers, Elevation attempts to encourage Jiren to stand up upwardly, believing in his strength with all earnest.

Differences from the manga
- In the anime, Goku, Frieza, and Android 17 work together to eliminate Jiren. In the manga, it is just Goku and Frieza every bit Android 17 is only revealed to have been alive subsequently.
- In the anime, Android 17 is fully prepared to cede himself and is unsure if he would survive or not. In the manga, Android 17 only fakes his self-destruction and fully expects to survive it.

- In the original Fuji TV broadcast version of this episode, the ending shows scenes of Dragon Ball Super: Broly. The Funimation Now and Crunchyroll versions did not have this and instead kept the original ending scenes.
- This is the outset time that Goku and Frieza really fight together.
- Team Universe seven auspicious Goku and Frieza on to finish Jiren is similar to Goku being cheered on to end Kid Buu in the Child Buu Saga.
- The final scene between Goku and Vegeta in their fighting poses alludes to the first time they fought against each other dorsum during the Vegeta Saga.
